How to Check and Print NYSC Call-Up Letter 2026

If you're a Prospective Corps Member (PCM), one of the most important documents you'll need before going to camp is your NYSC Call-Up Letter.

In this guide, you'll learn how to check and print your NYSC Call-Up Letter for 2026 Batch A, Batch B, and Batch C, what information it contains, when it will be released, and a few important printing tips.

Your NYSC Call-Up Letter is the official document that confirms your deployment for national service. It shows the state where you'll serve, your orientation camp, the date you're expected to report, and other important instructions. Without it, you won't be allowed to register at the NYSC orientation camp.

After completing your NYSC online registration and printing your Green Card, the next step is to check and print your Call-Up Letter as soon as NYSC makes it available. Make sure you print it early, read all the instructions carefully, and keep it safe because you'll need it throughout your camp registration.

What Is the NYSC Call-Up Letter?

The NYSC Call-Up Letter is an official document issued by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to every Prospective Corps Member (PCM) after deployment.

This letter confirms that you have been successfully deployed for national service. It tells you where you have been posted and provides all the important information you need before reporting to the orientation camp.

Your NYSC Call-Up Letter usually contains;

  • Your full details

  • Your state of deployment

  • The name and address of your orientation camp

  • Your camp reporting date and time

  • Your Call-Up Number

  • Important instructions and warnings for camp

  • The documents and items you are expected to bring

  • Other official information about your national service

Many PCMs often confuse the Green Card with the Call-Up Letter, but they are not the same.

Your Green Card contains the personal information you submitted during NYSC registration, while your Call-Up Letter shows your deployment details and serves as your official invitation to the orientation camp.

Both documents are very important, so make sure you print and keep them safe. You will need them during camp registration.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – NYSC Call-Up Letter 2026

1. What should I do if I lose my NYSC Call-Up Letter before camp?

There's no need to panic. Simply log in to your NYSC dashboard and print another copy. Your Call-Up Letter will remain available for download throughout the orientation camp registration period.

2. Is the NYSC Call-Up Letter the same as the Green Card?

No. They are two different documents.

The Green Card contains the personal information you provided during NYSC registration, while the Call-Up Letter contains your deployment details, including your state of service, orientation camp, and reporting date.

Both documents are required during camp registration, so ensure you print and keep them safe.

3. Can I report to a different state's orientation camp?

No. You must report only to the orientation camp stated on your Call-Up Letter. If you wish to serve in another state, you can apply for redeployment after camp through the official NYSC redeployment process, provided you meet the necessary requirements.

4. Should I print my Call-Up Letter in colour or black and white?

It is advisable to print your Call-Up Letter in colour. Colour printing is generally recommended and may be required during camp registration. Ensure the printout is clear and all information is easily readable.

5. Why can't I see the "Print Call-Up Letter" option on my NYSC dashboard?

If the print option is not yet available, it simply means NYSC has not released the Call-Up Letters for your batch.

Keep checking your dashboard regularly and follow NYSC's official announcements for updates. Be cautious of anyone asking for payment to "unlock" or "release" your Call-Up Letter, as this is a scam.

6. Can I go to camp without my Call-Up Letter?

No. The NYSC Call-Up Letter is a compulsory document for camp registration. Without it, you will not be allowed to complete your registration at the orientation camp.

In addition, any Prospective Corps Member who fails to report for service as directed may be liable under Section 13(1)(a) and (b) of the NYSC Act.
