The pre-mobilization stage is the preparation phase that happens before online registration opens on the portal of the National Youth Service Corps. If this stage is not properly completed by your institution, you cannot register for NYSC.
This guide explains everything step by step.

What Is NYSC Pre-Mobilization?
Pre-Mobilization is the official process carried out by higher institutions before NYSC registration begins. During this stage, institutions identify and compile the names of eligible graduates, verify academic records and graduation details, confirm that students have met all graduation requirements, and prepare the necessary data for submission to NYSC.
In simple terms, pre-mobilization is the bridge between graduation and NYSC registration. It is the period when schools prepare, verify, approve, and submit the records of eligible graduates to NYSC, making them ready for inclusion on the Senate List and eventual NYSC online registration.Below are the key stages involved in the NYSC mobilisation process:
STAGE 1: Graduation & Academic Clearance
Before mobilization:
• You must complete all academic requirements• Clear your department and faculty• Settle library and administrative clearance• Be officially approved by the Academic BoardOnly cleared graduates are considered for mobilization.STAGE 2: Internal Mobilization List Compilation
Your institution prepares an Internal Mobilization List containing:
Full nameMatric numberDate of birthCourse of studyClass of degreeGraduation dateAt this stage, you must:
✔ Confirm your name spelling✔ Confirm date of birth✔ Confirm course of study✔ Confirm graduation yearErrors here will reflect on the NYSC portal later.STAGE 3: JAMB Record Verification
For Nigerian-trained graduates, your admission must be recognized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. If your admission record is missing, you may need JAMB Regularization.

After compiling names, your institution’s Senate (or Academic Board) officially approves the list. This is known as the Senate Approved List and without Senate approval, your name cannot be uploaded to NYSC.
STAGE 5: Upload to NYSC Portal
Once approved, your institution uploads the Senate List to the portal of the National Youth Service Corps. After upload, your name becomes visible online.
